    Surviving Winter Appeal supporters explain why they donate their Winter Fuel Payment

    Stuart and Brenda Evans are local residents and long-term supporters of Cambridgeshire Community Foundation. They have supported the charity’s Surviving Winter Appeal for a number of years now, by donating the Winter Fuel Payment that they receive but do not need, so that the funds can support those who otherwise face a winter in fuel poverty.     Cambridgeshire Community Foundation celebrates commitment to real living wage

    We are pleased to confirm that we have been accredited as a Living Wage Employer. Our Living Wage commitment will see everyone working at Cambridgeshire Community Foundation receive a minimum hourly wage of £10.90 in the UK, higher than the government minimum for over 23s, which currently stands at £10.42 per hour.     Cambridgeshire Community Foundation is delighted to be distributing grants from the Know Your Neighbourhood Fund in Fenland, to support initiatives that can help to boost volunteering and tackle loneliness, helping participants improve their mental and physical wellbeing, develop new skills and form social connections. The first round of funding in early 2023 has already helped a variety of charitable causes to make an impact in Fenland. Read more
