This year, we are celebrating our 20-year anniversary of promoting giving for the benefit of the local community and offering grants to local projects. Over the last 20 years, we have given out over 10,000 grants, worth a total of over £32 million, to local non-profit organisations tackling a range of issues, from health and education to homelessness and the environment.

The calendar of anniversary celebration events commenced with a dinner kindly hosted by the our Vice-President, The Very Revd Mark Bonney DL, Dean of Ely, at the Bishop’s House in Ely.

The dinner welcomed some of the supporters involved in the Foundation over the past 20 years, including the supporters of our anniversary year celebrations: The Cambridge Building Society, Rathbones, Cheffins and Arm.

The evening included speeches from the Vice-President, Ambassador, Catherine Stewart, and Head of Philanthropy, Michelle Longman. They reflected on the impact of the Foundation and the need for continued support, as we face the largest funding deficit in our history, due to the record demand for local community support.
