Grants in the region of £2-£3,000 for groups in East Cambs and Fenland developing young people in some way connected to horticulture/ food. Local heritage and natural environment might also be considered if funds allow.

It will improve the wellbeing of those communities by having a positive social impact.It recognises itsrole in supporting them to thrive and it seeks to inspire its communities to engage with and appreciate farming and food.

Preference is given to projects that develop young people, and/or have a horticultural focus, and/or are in some way related to local food.  If funds allow, projects will also be considered if they preserve the local heritage or protect the local, natural environment and wildlife. 

Examples of Funded Projects

The Prospect’s Trust received £3,000 towards creating a weatherproof pod within the farm’s 18 acres to ensure 75 people with additional needs can safely continue their work outdoors.

Future First received £1,000 to deliver an annual schedule of activities to support 150 most at need students, as well as whole school interventions and popular resources, like alumni posters for school displays, virtual work experience resources, and connections with employers at Witchford Village College.
