Join Our Team
Cambridgeshire Community Foundation (CCF) is a registered charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for the people of Cambridgeshire. We work with many partners to:
- Actively inspire philanthropy & increase permanent resources for Cambridgeshire
- Invest in important community programmes through grants
- Provide leadership on critical community issues
We are an accredited member of the UK Community Foundation Network and have been supporting Cambridgeshire since 2004. Our unique approach is based upon empowering communities to identify how to enact positive change from the ground up. Last year, we awarded almost £3.8 million to support our local communities and address need across our county.
Now, more than ever, we need to strengthen and build resilience in our communities and we need new team members to help us do that!

Volunteering opportunities
Trustee
We strive to continue growing the Foundation, to increase the available funding for the diverse range of causes within our community, with an ambition to award at least £4 million in grants in the year 2023/24. We are focused on growing our profile, donor development, and strengthening the Foundation’s capacity, systems and processes, to respond flexibly to the ever-changing priorities and needs of our local community.
To support the charity’s growth, we are keen to build our Board of Trustees by welcoming people who bring relevant expertise, particularly in digital, marketing, business development, fundraising or HR.
As a Trustee, you will not only fulfil your general and statutory duties, but also bring your unique knowledge and expertise to ensure sound decision-making. This is an opportunity to make a lasting difference in Cambridgeshire and be part of shaping a better future for the local community.
If you are interested in joining the Board, please find out more about the role and application process in our Trustee Recruitment Pack. You may also wish to read our Strategy Overview which is referenced in the pack.
We are accepting applications and scheduling interviews on a rolling basis.
To apply or find out more, please email michael@cambscf.org.uk
Project Visitor
Our dedicated team of volunteer visitors travel to the projects we fund to meet the groups and see the projects in action.
This is a flexible role where volunteers can visit as many or few groups as they wish, at times, dates and locations that are convenient for both. Volunteers receive training and support from the team and are paid travel expenses for any visits they attend.
If you have any questions or would like to speak to someone about becoming a volunteer Project Visitor, please email info@cambscf.org.uk or call 01223 410535.
