Cambridgeshire Community Foundation is delighted to announce the upcoming launch of Cambridgeshire Community Lottery, an exciting new fundraising initiative for good causes.

The lottery will be a great way for people to support good causes whilst getting the chance to win cash prizes.

Leading lottery management company, Gatherwell, has been appointed by Cambridgeshire Community Foundation to run the lottery, having already launched similar lotteries elsewhere.

When the lottery launches on 20th May, people will be able to purchase tickets online and support the good cause of their choice.

Tickets will cost £1 a week, and players will be entered into a weekly draw to be in the chance of winning a jackpot of £25,000, with other prizes including £2,000, £250 and £25.

Enabling local causes to raise funds

Causes will keep 50% from every ticket they sell and a further 10% from every ticket will go to Cambridgeshire Community Foundation to support other local causes. The remainder of the ticket cost will be put towards prizes, operating costs and VAT.

The Foundation is hosting an online launch event on Tuesday 20th May for local good causes who would like to find out how they could benefit from Cambridgeshire Community Lottery.

Charities, community groups, sports clubs, PTAs and other non-profit organisations making a difference in Cambridgeshire are all invited to take part.

This is a fantastic opportunity for people to support their chosen local cause whilst being in with the chance to win something for themselves.
It’s great for ticket buyers, for local good causes, and for the wider Cambridgeshire community too.
