Legacies and In Memoriam Gifts
Supporting the future, remembering the past
Whether you are taking stock of your own affairs or remembering a loved one through a donation, we can help.
Legacies
We can help you leave money to charity in your Will, easily and efficiently. We ensure your legacy achieves exactly what you want it to.
Your gift may be used to create a Named Fund to support your own charitable interests, with your name remembered by the grants awarded. This option allows your family to have an input on how the funds are distributed.
Alternatively, you can ask for your gift to be allocated to one of our existing funds, such as:
- Cambridge Street Aid (helping homeless people)
- Cambridgeshire Young Carer’s Fund (helping young people who are carers in Cambridgeshire)
For more details of our funds see our Grant Types to Apply For page.
Or you can leave your gift to our Fund for Cambridgeshire. This pools donations of all sizes to provide grants to charitable community organisations across the county.
With our help, you can be confident your legacy will be used wisely and never put at risk.

We recommend that you seek advice from a solicitor before writing or amending your will.

In Memoriam Gifts
To remember a loved one, family and friends often suggest making donations to charities that the deceased would have been keen to help.
If the deceased had a particular connection to Cambridgeshire, our In Memoriam Fund may be the ideal choice. This fund supports small, local charities across the county. Donations can be made via collections at funerals and memorial services, and can include legaciy gifts.
The deceased will be named in our Annual Review.
If you wish to make a large gift in memory of a loved one, a permanent Named Fund may be more suitable. Please call us if this is something you’d like to consider.
