Burwell and Reach Community Fund
Overview
Grants of up to £2,000 are available for charity and community projects benefitting residents of Burwell and Reach.
Please note, this fund is currently open for an extra round with a deadline of 11:59 am 30th June 2025.

Fund criteria
Projects should:
- Strengthen the community and build resilience
- Provide or maintain community assets and/or
- Enhance the environment/surroundings for the benefit of those communities.
Although the maximum grant size is £2,000, requests for larger amounts can be considered on exception.
Recently Funded Projects
- Burwell Community Sports Centre received £2,000 to provide a wireless data network, three new laptop computers and a new network printer / scanner, plus two new customer payment units.
- Burwell Museum Trust received £1,000 towards consultant fees to cover the future Mill maintenance requirements.
- Burwell Community Print Centre was awarded £1, 338 towards running a varied and inclusive programme of creative workshops in partnership with external artists.
- Burwell Baptist Church Cooking Together @ Home was granted £2,000 to provide monthly food parcels to local families in need so that they are able to cook together and eat at home.
- Burwell and District Horticultural Society received £2,000 to to buy and install new water tanks on the allotments.
- Reach Cricket Club was awarded £2,900 to buy a verticutter to bring the pitch to a standard required for league cricket.
- Burwell Community Sports Centre was awarded £1,000 for phase 2 of their IT upgrade including software.
- Burwell Print Centre received £4,000 to enable the continued provision of training and work placements – changing the lives of adults with additional needs who want to work, want to learn a skill and gain education to contribute to their local community and beyond.
- Burwell & District Day Centre was awarded £4,800 to help fund the 2025 events and entertainment plan benefitting older local residents in the face of the loss of other local provision.
