Common Barn Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund
Overview
This fund offers grants of between £2,500 and, on exception, up to £18,000 for non-profit organisations delivering projects with public benefit for the residents of Southoe and Midloe, as well as Diddington, in Huntingdonshire.

Examples of previously funded projects
- Southoe Village Hall received £18,000 towards completing the transformation of the village hall into a modern, welcoming, income-generating community facility by adding patio doors, refurbishing the kitchen and toilets and landscaping.
- Southoe Village Hall received £10,900 to design, create and install a village sign to commemorate the village’s past, add to its aesthetic and boost pride in the local community.
- St Leonard’s Church Southoe PCC received £15,000 towards providing accessible toilets for the Community Hub which will benefit local people.
- Southoe Village Hall received £15,000 to carry out a complete renovation of the existing village hall including new kitchen, new bathrooms, french doors and furniture to bring it up to date, increase its appeal to and use by local residents.
- Diddington Parochial Church Council received £3,531.58 to fund a new sound system for the church building, in order to facility more community events in the village.
- St Leonard’s Church Southoe PCC received £15,000 towards architect’s fees and interior works essential to the Community Hub facilities being introduced into the tower base, such as toilets, ringers floor and a staircase.
- St Leonard’s Church Southoe PCC received £14,488 to carry out part two of the Community Hub Project; architect’s fees, heating/lighting consultant’s work, quantity surveyor’s fees, Anglia Water connection charges, stop cock and standpipe in the churchyard.
- St Leonard’s Church Southoe PCC received £15,800 to carry out fabric repairs to the church to enable the development of the nave into a community hub.
