Giving via a Legacy
Many people think of leaving money to charity in their Wills but often find it hard to choose between the many charities available.
If there is interest to help charities that are local to where you live or where you were born, your local Community Foundation offers an ideal way to leave a legacy efficiently and easily, with a number of options available to ensure that your legacy achieves exactly what you want it to.
At CCF you can choose to ask for your gift to be allocated to one of our existing funds such as Cambridge Street Aid (helping homeless people) or Restore (helping victims of domestic abuse) or Cambridgeshire Children's Fund (helping disadvantaged children in Cambridgeshire) - for our full fund list see A-Z of Funds . Alternatively, you may decide to create a Named Fund to support your own particular charitable interests with your name remembered by the grants awarded. If you wish, this option allows your family to have an input on how the funds are distributed too.
Another option is to leave your gift to the Foundation’s Fund for Cambridgeshire, which pools donations of all sizes to provide grants to Cambridgeshire organisations.
Whichever route you choose, by using Cambridgeshire Community Foundation to help you manage your legacy you can be confident that the money you leave will always be used wisely and never put at risk.
