Since setting up in early 2004, the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation, working in partnership with local and national businesses, charitable trusts, local government and individuals, has distributed nealy £5M to community projects across Cambridgeshire involving a wide range of beneficiaries.

  • Christ the Redeemer Church received a grant to fund their holiday club
  • Landbeach Parish Council received a grant to provide additional recreational facilities for older children and younger people.
  • Peterborough Civic Society received a grant to purchase a lap-top and digital projector for the presentations people give at monthly winter talks.
  • Wittering Community Activity Forum received a grant to pay for first aid courses and contribute towards equipment costs.
  • Peterborough Disabled Angling and Sports Club received a grant to fit a handrail around the lake.
  • Just Us received a grant for a workshop/theatre/activity day for looked after young people.
  • St Andrew's Hall Chesterton received a grant to refurbish a meeting room.
  • 1st Newmarket Brownies received a grant to run 3 events,  specifically looking at ways of storing and preserving, sell-by dates and common leftover recipes.
  • STARS Cambridgeshire Children's Bereavement Support Service received a grant to upgrade database.
  • The Garage Project received a grant to contribute towards the costs of  a production of 'Grease'.
  • Desi Ladies received a grant to organise monthly meetings with other groups and run a competition.
  • EARTH received a grant as a contribution towards one year's running costs.
  • Prickwillow Womens Institute received a grant to be used to fund publicity to raise awareness about the WI  and to encourage new members to join.
  • Red2Green received a grant to cover the costs of four clients with Asperger Syndrome (a form of Autism) for a year to attend our Aspirations project.
  • Cambridge Joint Playschemes received a grant to continue Saturday club for children and young people with severe learning difficulties.
  • Chesterton Festival Committee received a grant towards the costs of Chesterton Festival.
  • The Friends of Midsummer Common (FoMC) received a grant to cover the costs of the AGM and purchase of a shed.
  • The Friends of Whitworth House received a grant to fund  coach hire for an outing for the residents.
  • Second Chance received a grant for weekly chair based exercise sessions for 6 months.
  • Forward Gamlingay! received a grant to run a sexual health project, a cooking project and a Tea Dance in the local residential home.
  • Trumpington Residents' Association received a grant to purchase a marquee for community use.
  • Kings Hedges Family Support Project received a grant to buy toys for special needs children.
  • Kings Hedges Brownies received a grant to buy materials for arts and crafts and for a trip to Woburn Safari in March 2011 and for contribution towards unexpected increase in rent.
  • Castle Community Action Group received a grant to fund meetings and social events.
  • Waterbeach Community Primary School Parent Teachers Association received a grant to buy a new music system for the Primary School.
  • Cambridge Fans United received a grant for a project for Cambridge United and Fans United to work together to produce a recipe book of ideas for using up left overs.
