Since setting up in early 2004, the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation, working in partnership with local and national businesses, charitable trusts, local government and individuals, has distributed over £3M to more than 1,000 community projects across Cambridgeshire involving a wide range of beneficiaries.

  • Cottenham Village College awarded £250.00 for music therapy for deaf students
  • Milton Day Centre awarded £250.00 to purchase a P.A. system
  • King Street Pre-school awarded £290.00 to purchase new storage trays and floor cushions.
  • Abbotsley Village Hall awarded £320.00 to replace old heavy wooden tables with folding plastic style tables
  • Pymoor Community Archive Group awarded £400.00 to purchase a new camcorder to record the memories of local residents
  • 14th Cambridge Scout Group awarded £400.00 for new camping equipment
  • Federation Italian Labour Emigrate Family awarded £450.00 to run social activities for the elderly.
  • Histon and Impington Climate Change Action awarded £500.00 for a Greening project involving local residents.
  • Cottenham Brass Band awarded £500.00 for new instruments including bongo drums and other percussion
  • Cambridge Phab Club awarded £500.00 to take members to show at Wickstead Park
  • Benwick Village Hall Committee awarded £715.00 for new cooker, under-counter fridge and microwave for village hall kitchen
  • Cambridge Hard of Hearing Club awarded £1,190.00 to purchase a portable loop system
  • Ely Youth Initiative awarded £2,050.00 to contrbute to running costs of youth club in Ely
  • Salvation Army, Farcet awarded £2,970.00 towards Luncheon and social club for over 55's.
  • Cambridge Money Advice Centre awarded £5,000.00 for employment of part time staff member.
  • Kestrel Court Residents Group awarded £5,000.00 to set up two laptop computers and a desk top computer for use by the residents
