CCF has been inivted to run a Community Action Scheme (CAS) which will enable local community organisations to take action in their communities and champion the reduction of household food waste under the banner of the Love Food Hate Waste campaign.

The Community Action Scheme (CAS) will invite local community organisations to undertake a range of initiatives/activities that aim to promote the reduction of food waste. CAS will offer trainig and support and a small grants programme.

"We have already had interest by local groups wishing to take part in the scheme and once we have completed the paperwork, we will be contacting those groups and others, advising them of the next stage. Full details will be on our website by the first week in July."
