Cllr Oliver and Cambridgeshire County Council grant recipeints

A total of 26 voluntary and community groups attended an event on March 8 to celebrate the work they are doing in Cambridgehire providing services or support to vulnerable adults in the county.

Councillor Oliver, the Chair of Cambridgeshire County Council, personally thanked the groups and presented certificates and a grant cheque to assist them in their work in the coming financial year. Over £60,000 was made available through the Cambridgeshire County Council Small Grants Scheme administered by CCF to the groups at the presentation and 5 other groups that were unable to attend the event.

There was also a talk by Helen Randall, Chief Executive of Care Network, entitled 'Happy Days' which gave an excellent run though on how to keep a community group happy, healthy and helpful to staff, volunteers and clients.
