Apply for a Grant

Cambridgeshire Community Foundation awards grants for charitable projects undertaken by voluntary and charitable groups in Cambridgeshire.

Our main grant making is directed to our 5 core grant programmes as listed below with full details on the Core Grant Programmes page

  • Children, young people and families
  • Adults facing a life crisis
  • The natural environment
  • Community development and engagement
  • Health

The Foundation supports groups who are working to address the priorities that CCF has selected within these programmes and who are able to demonstrate that their projects will have the impacts that CCF is seeking.  The majority of the grants awarded are for small amounts of between £250 and £3,000.

We award grants from the Funds that local individuals, companies, and local and national government set up with us. The funds have different criteria (including the amounts they give out) and on receiving your application we will match your request to the most appropriate fund (unfortunately we will not be able to find a match for all requests received).

Please note: the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation CANNOT make RETROSPECTIVE GRANTS. We cannot award funding to cover costs that have been spent or committed before a grant offer has been made.

BEFORE making an application, you must read the Guidelines on the Grant Guidelines page.

Deadlines
Applications can be submitted at any time. As stated above, on receipt of your application, we will determine whether your request fits into any of the criteria of the different funds we hold. If there is a match we will inform you of the date when the appropriate panel is meeting and hence when your application will be reviewed. Some of our fund panels meet monthly, others on a quarterly or 6 monthly basis. If you would like advice before making an application, please telephone us or send an email:
