Cheffins Community Fund

The Cheffins Community Fund offers small grants to local voluntary and community organisations working to help people in need in or around Cambridge, Ely, Newmarket, Haverhill or Saffron Walden.

The following are two examples of projects that have beneifted from grants from the Cheffins Community Fund.

Earth, an organisation in Ely providing horticultural activities for adults with learning disabilities and young offenders, were awarded a grant towards developing and expanding their activities to include a base for working with children who have mental health problems.

The Friends of Fulbourn Hospital & the Community were awarded a grant towards running their successful Millennium Arts Projects workshops, especially designed as day-care for those with young-onset dementia (typically 45-65 years). Workshops included sessions on pottery, textiles, music, singing and dance.
