Cambridgeshire County Council Small Grants Scheme
Grants of up to £3,000 are awarded annually from the Cambridgeshire County Council Small Grants Scheme to small, not for profit, community groups.
Grants are available to not for profit groups providing services or support to vulnerable adults in Cambridgeshire including:
- Adults who are vulnerable through old age, disability, or mental health issues
- Carers looking after those suffering long term illness
- People dealing with a traumatic event (such as bereavement, rape)
Groups applying must have annual income of less than £50,000 and must be in need of financial help (as a rule of thumb if you have reserves of approximately one years trading / expenditure you will not be eligible for a grant)
POLICIES - If a group seeking a grant is working with adults who are vulnerable according to the definition in 'No Secrets' the Government's Guidance on Adult Abuse ( namely, a person aged 18 years or over, who is in receipt of or may be in need of community care services by reason of 'mental or other disability, age or illness and who is or may be unable to take care of him or herself, or unable to protect him or herself against significant harm or exploitation) the Group will be required to have a Vulnerable Adults Policy. Groups are also required to have an Equal Opportunity Statement/Policy. For guidance on these policies, please contact CCF in the first instance.
